The King is the United Kingdom's sovereign and head of state. As mentioned in the constitutional excerpt found above, he is elected by the people, and does not select his successor as is true of many other monarchies. The King is intended to serve as a neutral moderator of all disputes, and as a focal point for the nation to revolve around. He is therefore meant to be above politics, and does not hold political opinions. The current King and Sovereign is Dilerr I Karlsesson. Of Crandish origin, Dilerr began his career as a member of the 'blue revolution' government of Robert Belci, and became one of the major pushers for the restoration of the Crandish monarchy. After the ascension of Johanns V, Dilerr served as viceroy of Lontinien for a long period of time. With the formation of Arminy he became one of the first Arminian Parliament members, and was a nominated for Prime Minister; he nominated Johanns fonn Klosso instead, however. As a long and dutiful servant of the nation he is expected to rule well.
